Aunt Rosa Secci, born in 1926, visits the City Hall for her electronic ID card: "Great civic sense."
The elderly woman showed up at the Santa Maria Navarrese office, and the administration said, "She's in compliance, but 426 other residents haven't. Remember the August deadline."Per restare aggiornato entra nel nostro canale Whatsapp
Another 459 Baunei residents have not yet completed their application and may be doing so at the last minute, complaining about the potential queues. Mrs. Rosa Secci, born 100 years ago, however, has not: this morning she showed up at the Baunei municipal offices, in the Santa Maria Navarrese district, and activated her electronic ID card by placing her left index finger in the fingerprint scanner. After changing her glasses (for the ones she uses every day for sewing), she signed the application.
"Aunt Rosa, with her great civic sense," the Municipality informs, "reminds us that all paper identity cards in circulation will expire on August 3, 2026, regardless of the expiration date shown on the document, and it will no longer be possible to request a new one, not even in cases of emergency."
"We trust that these testimonies will reach more and more people," they say from the offices: the village's elderly have become testimonials of civic sense.
