At the end of July, the work table for the Nuoro-Macomer railway line will be operational. The objective is the feasibility study to speed up the regional section, managed by Arst, with single track, non-electrified and narrow gauge.

It was Matteo Salvini who asked for it, who in recent days has been in Sardinia for institutional commitments. The Minister of Infrastructure and Deputy Prime Minister has given a mandate to RFI's top management to study possible solutions to provide the area with a line suitable for citizens' mobility needs.

The technicians of MIT and Rfi, the Sardinia region, Arst and the prefect of Nuoro will take part in the table.

Furthermore, the construction of a new railway line of about 55 km between Abbasanta, 23 km south of Macomer, and Nuoro will be evaluated, taking advantage of the mobility corridor offered by the SS 131 DCN.
