He was hiding over a kilo and a half of hashish in a warehouse. Yesterday afternoon , Carabinieri officers from the Assemini station conducted an operation that led to the arrest of a 21-year-old waiter from Ussana.
The investigation focused on a building in the "Su Carroppu" area, where the young man was found to be the tenant. During the search, officers found 1,610 grams of hashish, already divided into blocks and carefully hidden in various locations throughout the warehouse, such as inside a desk and among some piled up scrap metal.
The Carabinieri's attention also extended to several vehicles: an Sh 150 scooter without a license plate was found stolen and returned to its owner, a 68-year-old man from Cagliari.
The young man was therefore arrested for the crimes of possession with intent to sell narcotics and receiving stolen goods.
