Afternoon of madness today in Massama prison.

A group of prisoners from Campania in a high security regime attacked some prison police officers : three ended up in the San Martino hospital, a fourth had to resort to treatment in the institution's infirmary.

According to what emerged from an initial reconstruction, at the end of the evening the climate would have turned on: the inmates, belonging to a clan of the Camorra, would not have liked the call to respect the rules, hence big words up to physical aggression . The officers were pulled and slapped so violently that they had to seek medical attention.

The condemnation of the Sinappe secretariat is harsh, underlining how these prisoners have been repeatedly reported as "troubles who have been trying to subvert the rules for months".

The confiscation of mobile phones and SIMs inside the cells has exacerbated the climate, with the agents in difficulty due to the lack of personnel. Even the regional secretary Sappe, Luca Fais condemns the incident. "These are acts of violence announced in a structure that lacks personnel, individual defense tools such as the taser and a safety regime proportionate to the type of highly dangerous prisoners".
