The process of reorganizing and strengthening the governance of ASL No. 6 of Medio Campidano, led by General Director Joseph Polimeni, continues. With Resolution No. 850 of October 29, 2026, Dr. Andrea Concas was officially appointed for a five-year term as Director of the Animal Health complex , part of the Department of Hygiene and Health Prevention.

This appointment follows the company's previous organizational consolidation efforts, including the recent reorganization of Oncology and Radiodiagnostics within the hospital setting and the Sanluri and Guspini Districts at the regional level.

The general management reiterated its firm intention not only to quickly fill all remaining vacant roles within the complex structure, but also to fully enhance the role of the company departments by appointing their respective directors in the coming months. The head of the Medio Campidano Local Health Authority emphasized that entrusting the structure to Dr. Concas "guarantees authoritative and competent leadership for this service, with the aim of protecting our economic fabric, food safety, and the local livestock heritage, confirming our company's commitment to ensuring essential services for the community."

New director Andrea Concas emphasized the need to carefully manage a crucial sector for the entire region: "The Animal Health service is vitally important in Medio Campidano, a region of Sardinia with a deep and historic agricultural and livestock tradition. I accept this role with a strong sense of responsibility."
