The seasonal medical facility on the island of Asinara becomes fully operational, made possible thanks to the collaboration between the ASL of Sassari, the Municipality of Porto Torres, the Harbour Master's Office, the Coastal Conservation Agency, the Asinara Park Authority and the Italian Relief Corps of the Order of Malta (Cisom).
A first aid health service for the population and tourists who visit the island of Asinara which, thanks to the agreement signed in recent days, allows us to guarantee the presence of two clinics, open from 9.30 to 17.30 (lunch break from 12.30 to 14.30) with prompt availability throughout the day.
There are two clinics on the island, one in Cala d'Oliva and another in Cala Reale (tel. 349 7575542 and 376 2516032; tel. 376 2385401 and 376 2516036).
In addition to the medical personnel, on the island of Asinara, thanks to the agreement, an ambulance and an off-road vehicle will be made available, two advanced medicalized rescue vehicles with medical equipment for emergencies.
In addition to providing first aid, the service will ensure support and coordination with the Port Authority and the local emergency network and hospital facilities for the possible transport of patients.
"An important commitment for the administration in which we believed to guarantee safety to those who reach Asinara in the summer", explains the extraordinary commissioner of the ASL of Sassari, Paolo Tauro.
