The second phase of work has begun on the sidewalk construction along Provincial Road 94, between Abbiadori and Cala di Volpe , in the Arzachena area. The project, planned by the municipal administration, aims to improve the safety and traffic flow of a particularly busy road during the summer months.
The first segment of the project, 180 meters long—70 meters of which are a suspended walkway—was completed in 2024 thanks to an investment of €200,000. With the launch of the second phase, the Municipality is investing an additional €300,000 to continue the pedestrian connection between the village and the coastal stretch, in a residential and tourist area with a significant pedestrian presence but so far lacking adequate infrastructure.
The stated goal is to create a continuous path that allows for safer walking and also encourages activities such as walking and jogging along a strategic axis of the territory.
However, a third phase still needs to be funded , which is necessary to extend the work to the Olbia junction and complete the planned route. The work is being coordinated by the Municipal Office of Public Works and promoted by Massimo Azzena, Councilor for Public Works and Maintenance.
