The damage to the turf at the Biagio Pirina municipal stadium is the most critical aspect to emerge following Achille Lauro's end-of-year concert.

According to the City Council resolution, "the event, despite being an exceptional success with the public and providing significant benefits in terms of image and tourist appeal for the Municipality of Arzachena, resulted—due to the installation of the stage structures and the heavy foot traffic—in serious and widespread wear and tear of the turf." The resolution also states that the current condition of the playing surface "is compromised and no longer suitable for ensuring the minimum safety and regularity standards required by the competent sports federations for the safety of the SSD Arzachena Academy Costa Smeralda athletes and other users."

Consequently, "the full and continuous usability of the facility represents a necessary condition to guarantee the continuation of seasonal activities, the interruption of which would cause serious harm to the underlying public and social interest."

Therefore, it is "urgent and imperative to proceed with the restoration and resurfacing of the turf, in order to restore the facility's functionality and protect the integrity of the municipal heritage." To address this emergency, the municipal administration has deemed it necessary to intervene urgently, approving a special grant of €10,000 to the Arzachena Academy Costa Smeralda, which manages the facility, for "the costs necessary for resurfacing the sports facility's turf."
