A new arena suitable for hosting various sports, equipped with a double grandstand and with a total capacity of around 600 people. This is what the Ragnedda Administration intends to carry out in Arzachena at the sports citadel of Corra Cilvuna, in the same area where the multipurpose gym stands today.

This structure, which dates back to the late 1970s and early 1980s of the last century, "due to its construction characteristics and dimensions, cannot be considered suitable for current needs". This in fact, writes the municipal administration, is characterized by "non-regulatory internal heights, absence of grandstands for the public, not very functional distribution of internal spaces, poor energy efficiency, obsolete and old-concept systems, safety and fire prevention equipment not suitable, etc.".

The building will therefore have to be demolished and the new building built in the same area. In the meantime, however, as the gymnasium to be demolished is currently used by various sports associations to carry out various disciplines, in order to prevent them from not having a structure available, it will be necessary that "a multipurpose field be built for volleyball, basketball, handball and futsal, to give continuity to the various disciplines currently held at the existing gym».
