"The news of the arson attacks that struck Via Adua and Via Ichnusa in Santa Teresa Gallura last night, involving several local residents and families, leaves us deeply outraged and dismayed," Lega MP Dario Giagoni wrote in a statement, commenting on the events in the Gallura town, where cars were set alight.

"We express our deepest and most heartfelt solidarity, along with our deepest sympathy, to all the residents and those directly affected by this very serious and cowardly act," Giagoni continued.
We condemn in the strongest terms all forms of intimidation, violence, and abuse. What happened is not just an attack on individuals, but a direct offense to the founding values of civil coexistence and the security of our country. Unfortunately, Giagoni emphasizes, this is not an isolated incident. Throughout Sardinia, we are witnessing with growing concern the repetition of similar acts: whether it stems from a sick spirit of emulation or other causes, this climate of insecurity is no longer tolerable. Citizens have the fundamental right to live and sleep peacefully in their homes. Faced with this escalation, words are no longer enough: we need the iron fist of the State. We cannot and must not allow our territory to be held hostage by crime.

"For this reason," the MP announced, "I will submit a request to the Minister of the Interior urging central institutions to intervene immediately and decisively, strengthening control mechanisms and ensuring a severe and exemplary response to stop this scourge. We trust in the work of the judiciary and law enforcement to shed swift and full light on what happened in Santa Teresa Gallura. Our community's response," Giagoni concluded, "will always be one: united, uncompromising, and committed to the rule of law."
