Eleven defendants face 133 years and eight months in prison, with one acquittal. These are the sentencing requests made this morning by Public Prosecutor Ezia Mancusi during her closing speech before the Livorno preliminary hearing judge, in the fast-track trial for the gang that allegedly planned and executed the armored car robbery on March 28, 2025, on the Aurelia bypass in San Vincenzo, in the Livorno area.

At the heart of the proceedings is the assault, which also became known for the cry of "Hey, we're all here," which remained etched in the investigations and in videos shot by motorists during the assault and later circulated on social media, a factor that investigators believe helped quickly direct the investigation towards Sardinia.

According to the prosecution, the group acted "in an organized commando manner, with defined roles and structured operational capabilities," planning the robbery for months and carrying out a coordinated operation to block the armored vehicles, threaten the security guards, and detonate one of the armored vehicles.

Specifically, the prosecutor has requested 12 years for Antonio Moni of Castelnuovo Val di Cecina, represented by the lawyer Marco Talini. For Franco Piras of Bari Sardo and Francesco Palmas of Jerzu, the request is 14 years and 8 months, both represented by the lawyer Marcello Caddori.

Salvatore Campus of Olzai, represented by lawyers Antonio Mereu and Andrea Nieddu, is seeking a 14-year sentence. Nicola Fois of Girasole, represented by Marcello Caddori, faces eight years, while Marco Sulis of Villagrande Strisaili, represented by lawyers Giuseppe Talanas and Potito Flagella, is seeking 11 years and four months. Renzo Cherchi of Irgoli, represented by lawyer Angelo Magliocchetti, and Francesco Rocca of Orotelli, represented by lawyers Giuseppe Talanas and Carlo Ambrosini, are seeking 14 years and eight months.

Alberto Mura of Ottana, represented by Lorenzo Soro, has also been given the same sentence, while Giovanni Columbu of Ollolai, represented by Gabriele Terranova, has been asked for 14 years and 4 months. Salvatore Giovanni Antonio Tilocca of Bottidda, also represented by Gabriele Terranova, has been asked for 14 years and 8 months. Finally, Antonio Stochino of Arzana has been asked for acquittal, with Francesco Marongiu representing him.

At the next hearing of the abbreviated trial before the preliminary hearing judge of Livorno, there will be room for the defense.
