The Carabinieri of the Serramanna Station , supported by the Radiomobile Unit of the Sanluri Company and coordinated by the Operations Department of the Provincial Command of Cagliari, have executed a European arrest warrant issued by the Maltese judicial authorities against a twenty-seven-year-old pizza chef resident in the town, seriously suspected of an armed robbery and a theft committed in Malta in April 2024.
The operation was triggered by a request for international cooperation sent through the Schengen Information System, which indicated the young man – already known to law enforcement – as a person to be sought in Europe.

Upon receiving the report, the Carabinieri of Serramanna immediately began investigations in the area, locating the suspect at the family home.
At dawn the military entered the building and notified the person concerned of the arrest warrant.

After the formal procedures , the twenty-seven-year-old was taken to Uta prison, where he will await the decisions of the Court of Appeal of Cagliari regarding the request for surrender forwarded by the Maltese judicial authorities.
