Irregularities in the management of the plant's wastewater: this is what the Carabinieri of Arbus , supported by soldiers from the NOE of Cagliari, discovered during an inspection of a car repair and inspection workshop located in the industrial area of the town.
According to what was ascertained by the military, the two owners of the business did not have the necessary authorisations for the discharge of industrial waste water .
The inspection highlighted that the production area lacked an adequate system for collecting, conveying, separating and treating rainwater runoff from the external yards, with a consequent potential risk for the surrounding ecosystem .
The violations found led to the two entrepreneurs being reported. A partial closure of the business , including the area designated for the mechanical workshop, was also ordered.
The restrictive measure will remain in effect until the premises and systems are fully compliant with the relevant regional regulations.
