A search is underway in Arbus for the disappearance of a 73-year-old woman. Maria Bonaria Onnis, originally from the town of Linas and a long-time resident of Rome, had been on the Costa Verde for a few days for a summer vacation.

Yesterday morning, she went to visit a brother in Arbus, where she had lunch and spent the day. That evening, she reportedly headed toward the coast but never returned to her home in Gutturu 'e Flumini. Relatives raised the alarm.

The Carabinieri, firefighters and civil protection are participating in the search.
