They had promised her a substantial donation, around 300,000 euros. However, some fees would first have to be paid .
And so little by little a 59-year-old woman from Arborea (civil plaintiff with the lawyer Fabio Costa) was defrauded of almost three thousand euros .
Behind those promises of money was just another online scam, as emerged today in court before Judge Francesca Falchi. The following are on trial: Valentyna Seredenko, originally from Ukraine, Giovanna Patetta from Manfredonia (defended by Anna Maria Uras), Caterina Frisina from Calabria (defended by Giuseppe Casella), and Vincenzo Veneziani from Monopoli (assisted by Filippo Di Palma) .
The victim, answering questions from prosecutor Daniela Caddeo, reconstructed the incident from the moment of the initial contact on Facebook to the payments made to the Postepay cards and bank accounts in the defendants' names. The trial has been adjourned until October 30.
