This morning, extensive searches were conducted between Cagliari and Selargius, as part of a large-scale anti-drug operation by the Carabinieri Provincial Command.

Eleven searches were carried out on as many individuals under investigation for complicity in possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking, and one for illegal possession and carrying of weapons . The raids also involved the Hunters and the Elmas Helicopter Unit.

The operation ordered by the Prosecutor's Office stems from an investigation launched last March, following the arrest of one of the suspects by the Monserrato Local Police, which allowed them to collect numerous pieces of evidence and to outline a picture of the organization and its alleged criminal activities .

During the searches, which involved, among others, two 26-year-olds from Cagliari, a 28-year-old from Selargius, and a 41-year-old woman from Cagliari already known to law enforcement, the Carabinieri found over 3,000 euros in cash, drugs, and packaging materials.

The only person arrested is a 24-year-old unemployed man from Cagliari, known to law enforcement. He was found in possession of approximately 88 grams of cocaine , some of it already divided into doses ready for sale, as well as four precision scales, packaging materials, and a blank pistol. After completing the necessary formalities, the young man was taken to Uta prison. Between tomorrow and Monday, the 24-year-old, represented by attorney Benedetta Mauro, will be questioned to validate his arrest.
