Anna Cau is the new Regional Ombudsman for Children and Adolescents . She was appointed by Regional Council President Piero Comandini, who exercised his powers of substitution, and her appointment was published today in the Buras (Italian Publications Office).

Anna Cau, a magistrate, has extensive experience in the juvenile sector . Until 2025, she also served as a public prosecutor at the Cagliari Juvenile Prosecutor's Office .

Anna Cau is the third Guarantor in Sardinia's history of autonomy. She replaces Carla Puligheddu.
