The municipal kennel alone costs 30,000 euros a month. Then there are the microchipping and sterilization services. Alghero has already received numerous awards at national level for being an "animal-friendly" city, the latest being the "Animals in the city 2021" award. The results of the tenth national report by Legambiente place the Riviera del Corallo at the top of the 656 municipalities evaluated.
