This morning , an Anas worker was injured in Galtellì while working on state highway 129, after several trees fell onto the roadway . The exact circumstances of the accident are still unclear: the worker was struck on the head by a tree trunk that he was perhaps trying to free or that suddenly fell on him.
Due to the strong winds, it was impossible for the air ambulance to intervene: the worker was transported to hospital by ambulance and, fortunately, his life is not in danger .
The Nuoro Provincial Fire Brigade has been busy since the early hours of the morning responding to emergency calls due to strong gusts of wind. To date, 25 interventions have been carried out, while more than 40 emergency calls are pending . The areas of intervention include the city of Nuoro and the territories of Ogliastra and Baronia.
State roads 129 (at kilometer 6) and 125, Cala Liberotto, towards Capocomino, are temporarily closed due to trees on the roadway . Four teams are currently deployed in the Nuoro area, in addition to teams from the Lanusei and Tortolì units for Ogliastra and the Siniscola unit for Baronia.
