There were moments of concern this morning at the end of Via XX Settembre, where a passerby reported to local police the presence of a dog tied to a pole, visibly disoriented and in distress. The animal was immediately taken into care by officers who responded to the scene. The officers, coordinated by Commander Salvatore Masala, secured the dog and began investigations to locate the owners.

Initial checks revealed that the animal appeared to lack a microchip, which complicated the identification process. Local police then activated a network of reports, including on social media, posting photos and information useful for identification. This effort paid off within hours: the owner was located and reunited with her dog. She told the police that she had recently moved from the countryside to the city and that the animal, not yet accustomed to the frenetic pace and traffic of the city, had managed to escape.

Someone, likely noticing him wandering in a dangerous area, tied him to a pole to keep him safe while waiting for help, thus averting the worst. The episode ended happily, thanks to the prompt intervention and the cooperation of the citizens.
