The countdown has begun: Siddi becomes the capital of good food and culture. From September 19th to 21st, the Marmilla village hosts the eighteenth edition of Appetitosamente, the Regional Festival of Good Food. The full program has been finalized, combining food and wine, music, comedy, and cultural events, transforming the town into a hub of experiences and conviviality.
The work of art of an entire community
"Appetitosamente is only possible thanks to the concerted effort of our community," says Mayor Marco Pisanu. "I thank the Appetitosamente 2021 Committee, the Pro Loco, the associations, the Villa Silli cooperative, the Barracelli family, the many volunteers, and the women who prepare the pasta, along with all the citizens who make the festival possible. For a town of 550 inhabitants, it's extraordinary to be able to organize an event of this magnitude. Siddi has a history tied to the Puddu pasta factory and the tradition of pasta making, but it also boasts a unique cultural and environmental heritage: the Giara, the Giants' Tomb, the museums, and the historic center. With international collaborations like the International Summer Schools, we have become a laboratory open to the world. Appetitosamente isn't just about food: it's a way to enhance our identity and local area, combat depopulation, and build a future."

Friday, September 19
5:30 PM – Enjoy your meal!!!: Institutional greetings and opening in Piazza L. Da Vinci.
6:00 PM – Food and History Dialogue with Marco Pisanu, Pierluigi Montalbano, Claudia Zedda, Betty Di Bernardo (IncoMunis) and Antonio Furesi (AIS Sardegna).
8:00 PM – Semjai: propitiatory sowing ritual with shaman-sowers, drums directed by Marco Serra, trumpet by Riccardo Pittau, performance by Antonella Puddu, based on an idea by Mariano Corda and Emilio Lieto Ortu.
8:30 pm – Inauguration of In-Material Culture: works by Mariano Corda and the Siddi community (AnimalIrreali and Wheat Field-Reaper-Gleaner).
10:00 PM – Musical delights: concert by the Sardinian Regional Orchestra “Franco Oppo” with music by Mozart and Vivaldi (Parish Church).
Saturday, September 20th
10:00 am – Show "In the Belly of Pinocchio" by Betti Pau, in the tree-lined area of the Church of San Michele; followed by a "fairytale" snack.
10:30 AM – Former Managu Hospital, presentation of Giovanni Fancello's book "Grazia Deledda and Food: From Homer to the Present Day," with readings by Stefano Resmini; hospitality with coffee and pistocus finis.
11:30 am – Casa Steri Museum (loggia), tasting and storytelling workshop "I'm Cool!!!" with Gianmario Mallica, Pierluigi Carreras, and Fabrizio Fenu *.
3:30 pm – Casa Pau (loggia), Seada's story workshop with Giovanni Fancello, Gabriela Pitzianti and the Coriccheddos association *.
6:00 PM – Concert by Simone Cristicchi, From Darkness to Light, at the Giant's Tomb Sa Domu 'e s'Orcu. Simone Cristicchi – vocals and guitar; Riccardo Corso – guitars, mandolin, and bouzouki; Riccardo Ciaramellari – piano, accordion, and keyboards; Giuseppe Tortora – cello.

10:30 a.m. – Former Managu Hospital, preview of Alessandra Guigoni's book, "Enciclopedia enogastronomica della Sardegna," with the author, publisher Carlo Delfino, Valentina Ragazzo, and collaborators.
1:30 PM – Casa Pau, Club Méditerranée themed lunch with Chiara Cogotti and Corrado Casula.

Exhibitions, spaces and places
During the three days it will be possible to visit the market exhibition of local producers, the relaxation areas and the main places of interest in Siddi: the Museum of Agro-food Traditions, the Ornithological Museum, the Sa Fogaia archaeological park, the churches of San Michele and della Visitazione, the Giants' Tomb Sa Domu 'e s'Orcu.
