Alghero, two cars on fire in via Cravellet

Two cars on fire in the night in Alghero .

The flames broke out from the rear compartment of a van parked in via Cravellet and then also attacked a small car.

Firefighters from the Via Napoli detachment intervened on site and managed to put out the fire in a few minutes.

Residents of the neighborhood had heard a loud bang around 11.30pm and when they looked out the flames had already broken out. Subsequently, they say, there were two more bangs caused by the breaking of the windows of the vehicles.

It is yet to be clarified what could have started the flames in the back of the van.
