Alghero, truck on fire on Via XX Settembre
The alarm was raised when fire began to break out from the vehicle.There were moments of fear this morning in Alghero, where around 7:45 a truck caught fire while driving along Via XX Settembre.
The alarm was raised when flames began to come out of the heavy vehicle, and in particular from the trailer's braking system.
The fire brigade from the Alghero detachment responded to the scene, and their timely intervention prevented the fire from spreading to the entire vehicle, limiting the damage.
There were moments of tension during the firefighting operations: the bursting of some tires caused the trailer, weighed down by its load, to tilt, generating panic among local residents.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported. Safety operations are still ongoing, while local police are on site to manage traffic and conduct necessary investigations.
