The car of a local police officer in Alghero, parked on the street, was smeared with tomato sauce .
The local police command is investigating the incident, which is believed to be a sort of intimidation, a warning linked to the activity of the traffic warden , and is trying to trace the person responsible, also with the help of images recorded by the video surveillance systems in the area.
"My sympathy and that of the entire administration," commented Mayor Raimondo Cacciotto . "Wearing a uniform and enforcing the rules is never easy. Those who serve the community daily often face complex situations, tensions, and significant responsibilities, but this can never justify intimidating or incivilized acts," the mayor stated.
Words of encouragement also came from the local police commander, Salvatore Masala : "Our colleague carries out her work with dedication, dedication, and genuine esprit de corps. She does it in the interest of the entire community, but also because she deeply believes in the value of her service. Her enthusiasm is contagious, and I will not allow anyone to dim that light. Anyone who thinks they can intimidate us is profoundly mistaken : gestures like this only strengthen our sense of duty, legality, and belonging to the Corps."
