Alghero ticket prices are increasing by 33%. FI: "It's an absurd decision, and it's in the middle of the season."

The increase of approximately 33 percent in the Alghero Ticket and Alghero Family , the single ticket that allows access to 13 cultural sites in the Catalan city, has raised doubts from the city secretary of Forza Italia, Andrea Delogu.
"At the end of July, in the middle of the tourist season, the Alghero Foundation decided on the increase, with the approval of the mayor and the relevant councilor. We can only be shocked by such improvisation. This administration is clearly just talking about planning and tourist incentives to give itself a boost," Delogu protests. "How can you take on such an initiative without consulting with industry professionals and buyers who have already sold the Alghero Experience and now find themselves paying more than a third more."
The Alghero Ticket, launched in 2011, at the dawn of the Foundation, under the Tedde administration, and significantly revamped in 2020, is a key tool for promoting the area and, above all, raising awareness of less-visited sites. Over the last five years, these have seen a dramatic increase in visits, thanks in part to the inclusion of the queen of sites, Neptune's Grotto.
"The low cost was one of the reasons for the success of a project embraced by industry players, primarily the Riviera del Corallo Consortium, with which a strong partnership was established in 2020 on a single ticket with the Alghero Experience project." FI Secretary Delogu asks the question: "Are we sure that the relevant municipal regulations allow such a sharp increase during the year and that fares shouldn't be set within the year before they go into effect?"
