In Alghero, the drug dealer was riding a scooter. But he was caught by the Flying Squad.
The arrest took place on Via Vittorio Emanuele, near a roundabout: here, the police decided to stop the man, who, however, tried to evade checks by continuing to walk away. The officers caught up with him and arrested him.
He admitted to carrying drugs: in his private parts, inside a sock, he had ten sachets of a yellowish solid substance, later determined to be heroin, weighing approximately 110 grams. The officers then proceeded to search his home and his person. Inside the home, they found, among other items, precision scales and a cutting agent identified as mannitol: all items deemed consistent with the preparation and packaging of the drug.
The man was arrested and, after a fast-track trial, was transferred to Bancali prison.
Database searches revealed that the arrested man had a history of drug-related offences, including an arrest in November 2024, when he was found in possession of approximately 22 grams of heroin.
