Alghero, the Maritime Museum in the Tower of San Giacomo

Launching the first installation of the Maritime Museum in the Tower of San Giacomo , one of the landmarks of Alghero's historic center. This is the proposal from Luca Pais , a member of the Porto Conte Park board of directors, given that the tower will no longer be used by the Sea Turtle First Aid Center (which has been moved to Casa Gioiosa).
The idea is to create a space capable of telling the story of Alghero through its maritime identity, the traditions of its fishermen, the profound relationship with the sea and its protagonists.
"It will offer the right mix of cultural and social aspects in an environment where visitors are both educated and amazed by the wonders of the area. A Maritime Museum to promote respect for the environment, the city's identity, and the intangible heritage, built around nature and the sea," concludes Luca Pais.
