Alarm in Alghero on Saturday evening.

Firefighters responded to Via Vittorio Giglio, where a fire had been reported in a basement. Upon arrival, emergency responders noted a problem with a battery pack on the photovoltaic system. Therefore, the building was evacuated as a precaution.

Meanwhile, the NBCR (Nuclear Biological Chemical Radiological) unit intervened from the Sassari power plant to monitor and analyze the fumes, while the officer on duty coordinated the recovery operations of the battery pack.

The municipal administration was also involved, providing assistance to the building's residents until they returned to their homes when the all-clear was given.
