The Paratroopers' Association expressed deep regret for the events during the April 25th celebrations in Alghero and, more generally, for the way the city's official commemorative events were handled. According to Provincial President Giuseppe Meloni, "The lack of communication (invitation) has long been a problem, preventing our Association from participating with due organization and dignity in public ceremonies. These are deeply important to us, as we consider ourselves representatives and servants of the State, retired military personnel, volunteers, but also ordinary citizens who for years have ensured presence, remembrance, and dignity at civil and military ceremonies."

The Brothers of Italy party in Alghero immediately intervened, calling it a "serious political incident" and requesting clarification from the municipality. According to the opposition party's city coordinator, Pino Cardi, the failure to invite the armed forces associations represents "a lack of respect towards public servants," whether by mistake or choice. Deputy coordinator Alessio Auriemma also took a firm stance, calling the exclusion of the Folgore unacceptable. "Anyone who wears or has worn a uniform deserves the unconditional respect of the institutions." For group leader Alessandro Cocco, April 25th should remain "a united national holiday," while in Alghero it has been transformed into a biased and divisive commemoration. The party has announced a formal request for clarification from the municipality and is demanding that the failure to lay a wreath at the Folgore monument be remedied, with an official apology and a commitment to avoid divisive interventions at institutional ceremonies starting next year.
