A griffin on your balcony is not an everyday occurrence.

Lately, in the houses south of Alghero, towards Sant'Anna, more than one person has happened to see one. The fastest with their smartphones have immortalized the moment, recounting the emotions of having crossed glances with the endangered raptor that usually populates the cliff of Punta Giglio, in the Porto Conte Regional Natural Park.

Others managed to shoot a video (which we publish) while the griffon was on the roof. Some residents were agitated, because they explained that they had never had such special guests on their windowsill. And such a sociable griffon, who thinks he is a crow or a seagull, had never been seen before.

The Forestry Corps of Environmental Supervision had already spotted the young specimen yesterday at its first flight experiences. This was reported by Francesco Guillot, a representative of the Lipu who, with his volunteer colleagues, had raised the alarm. The agents intervened promptly and managed to recover the griffon safely. A team effort that allowed the bird of prey to avoid getting into trouble.
