Until further notice, families from Alghero with small children will necessarily have to travel to Sassari in the event of medical emergencies affecting their children at night and on public holidays.

An official note communicates this, where we read: «Due to the sudden absence of one of the four pediatricians on duty at the Paediatrics and Nursery School of the Civil Hospital of Alghero , the Sassari Local Health Authority communicates to the population that, until the reinstatement of the medical staff, acknowledges the impossibility of maintaining active shifts of ready availability and, given the impossibility of finding pediatric specialists in the regional context, in agreement with the Aou of Sassari and the regional health department, has that pediatric emergencies at night and on holidays are centralized in the Sassari Hub ".

The Paediatrics and Nursery School of the Civil Hospital of Alghero, with the staff currently on duty, will guarantee outpatient activity and pediatric specialist consultations from 8am to 8pm.
