Alghero, motorbike crash on the Due Mari road: the boy who lost his leg dies
Emanuele Puggioni, 28 years old, had been urgently transferred to the Santissima Annunziata in SassariThe motorcyclist who was the victim of a terrible road accident on the provincial road 42 of the Due Mari on Wednesday morning, aboard his BMW, did not make it.
The victim, Emanuele Puggioni, 28 years old, had collided with a Lancia Ypsilon, resulting in the traumatic amputation of his leg.
Due to his very serious injuries, the young man died during the night.
The centaur, immediately after the collision on the provincial road, was transported by air ambulance to the Santissima Annunziata hospital in Sassari and immediately underwent delicate surgery.
Despite the doctors' efforts, however, he unfortunately died in the night between Wednesday and Thursday.
Two other people were injured in the accident: the girl who was traveling with the victim on the motorbike, a BMW, and the fifty-nine-year-old driver of the car. Both had been transferred to the Civil Hospital of Alghero, but their conditions are not worrying.
The investigations at the site of the impact, which occurred in the I Piani area, were carried out by the carabinieri: the cause was a lane invasion, which caused the head-on crash.
