An investment that the Public Works sector has nominated for the opportunities of the Regional Law on Works of Regional Interest, redevelopment of urban centers” n. 17/2021. The Maria Pia facility will undergo restyling thanks to a project that includes its modernization and which was financed by the Department of Public Works of the Region through the scrolling of the ranking of which the proposal of the Municipality of Alghero was part. On the part of the councilors for Public Works and Sports Facilities, Francesco Marinaro and Enrico Daga, there is satisfaction for a further step forward taken and the awareness that now the procedure will have to advance promptly. «Thanks to the work of the offices that are committed to the subsequent phases of the project and are relating with extreme profit with the regional offices», they say.

The project for the rugby field now finds support in a similar design process underway for the Maria Pia facility, for which resources of 150 thousand euros are available. The sums available thus become 605 thousand euros. The two projects will now be integrated into a single Dip (Design Direction Document) which will be on the agenda of the Council for the green light to the subsequent phases, namely the executive project and the start of the tender procedures for the assignment of the works.
