Alghero, fire in the parking lot near the airport: 14 cars in ashes

Around 4 a.m., a fire broke out near the airport , involving numerous cars parked in the area. A total of 14 vehicles were affected by the flames.
The team from the Alghero detachment intervened on site, supported by the headquarters in Sassari with a departure and a water tanker.
The firefighters' timely intervention helped contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading further, also saving several cars parked nearby that would have likely been caught in the blaze.
The Carabinieri were also present on site, busy managing traffic and securing the area while the extinguishing and cleanup operations continued.
The cause of the fire that hit one of the large parking lots along the road to the airport, a popular destination for departing travelers, remains unclear.
