Alghero, driver taken ill: the bus hits a car and ends up against a pole. Several injured, including a little girl

Perhaps a sudden illness caused the accident that occurred this morning on the seafront in Barcelona.

The driver of the urban bus felt ill while traveling along the "rambla" towards the beaches and the vehicle went off the road, hitting a light pole .

The toll is five slightly injured , immediately treated by ambulances.

From an initial reconstruction it seems that the bus hit a car, in which a family was travelling , before ending up against the pavement and the pole.

The occupants of the car - including a little girl - were also taken to the emergency room for checks.

On site, together with 118, the local police and firefighters.

The stretch of the Barcelona seafront remained closed to traffic for a few hours.
