Caught red-handed while trying to break into a parked car.

Police officers arrested two people, already known to the police, on Sunday for attempted aggravated theft, in collaboration with each other.

The staff of the Alghero Police Station had noticed them in the car as they were heading towards the outskirts of the Catalan city, in the direction of the Lazzaretto beach.

After getting off, the two, a man and a woman, forced a car parked in a parking lot. The alarm went off and made them run away, but the officers managed to intercept and arrest them.

They had on them three electronic devices that allow copying the opening codes of car remote controls and two pairs of latex gloves. The two were placed under house arrest pending the validation hearing: two days earlier they had stolen from a parked car two trolleys and two backpacks containing two laptops, a tablet and a smartphone. All the recovered material was returned to the rightful owners.
