A shop in the historic center of Alghero has ended up in the sights of the Guardia di Finanza for the alleged crime of selling counterfeit products. The shop, in a pedestrian area, sold items from well-known and prestigious international brands, from Adidas to Gucci, passing through Louis Vuitton.
But the particularly low retail prices ended up arousing the suspicions of the men of the Provincial Command of the Guardia di Finanza who, at the end of an investigative activity, seized a total of over 500 items, including bags, sunglasses and key rings. The legal representative of the individual company was reported to the competent judicial authority and the counterfeit goods were seized.
"The operation is part of the economic-financial control of the territory carried out daily by the Guardia di Finanza and aimed at combating all forms of illegal trade to protect not only consumers, but also honest entrepreneurs, thus eliminating dangerous distortions of the correct rules of the market economy", explain the Alghero command.
