During the checks in two restaurants in the hinterland of Alghero, the Coast Guard confiscated 11 kilos of octopus. The activity was carried out in order to ensure compliance with the legislation on the fishing industry, to protect the health of end consumers and the protection of marine fauna.

In the two premises, the traceability of the fish product detained was verified, and 11 kg of octopus (octopus vulgaris), held in one of the controlled commercial establishments, were seized, in the absence of the required documentation certifying its origin, with the '' application of an administrative fine of 1,500 euros.
