Alghero, car goes off the road: driver injured

A road accident occurred this evening, around 7:20 PM, in the Monte Carru area of Alghero, along the Regione Calvia-Monte Carru road, heading towards state road 127 bis.
For reasons still under investigation, a 58-year-old woman from Alghero lost control of her car while negotiating a left curve after a steep downhill stretch. The car crashed into a fenced wall on a private property, crashing through it and coming to rest inside the fence.
When emergency services arrived, the driver was conscious and alert inside the vehicle: she reportedly called her family for help after the impact.
Firefighters from the Alghero detachment responded to the scene, secured the vehicle and collaborated with 118 personnel to stabilize the woman and extract her from the car.
The 58-year-old woman, who complained of pain in various parts of her body, was taken to the emergency room of Alghero Civil Hospital for tests . Local police officers were also present, conducting investigations to reconstruct the exact circumstances of the accident.
