Alghero, a fire in a house: a woman and her dog were rescued.

A fire that broke out in the chimney of a house between Via Sassari and Via Petrarca, in the center of Alghero, endangered an 82-year-old woman and her dog. Fortunately, the firefighters responded quickly and prevented further damage.

The homeowner and her four-legged friend were rescued and are now staying with relatives, allowing firefighters to proceed with their inspections of the smoke-filled home. The cause of the disaster is still unclear.

Alghero local police officers, coordinated by Commander Salvatore Masala, were also on site. No injuries were reported.
