"To date, we haven't detected any jet fuel alerts, and there's no emergency regarding fuel availability in Sardinia . However, this situation obviously needs to be monitored, as the airports aren't just ours, but those of other destinations as well. Of course, we also need to pay attention to the price issue."

Regional Transport Councillor Barbara Manca made this statement on the sidelines of the April 25th demonstration, following warnings raised by Ryanair and Aeroitalia executives regarding an initial estimate of aircraft fuel availability until May.

"We are engaging in dialogue with all stakeholders in this process. We've met with Saras several times with the industry councilor, and he told us there are no issues with jet fuel volumes and that, in fact, they're making arrangements should there be additional demand. Obviously, we need to remain vigilant and monitor the situation, because the situation could evolve," he concluded.
