Trexenta cheese continues its rise among the world's leading agri-food producers . Winning an award in France is a special treat, especially when it comes from one of the world's most important competitions: "Le Mondial Du Fromage et des Produits Laitiers," which takes place in France every two years and this year marked its seventh edition.

Over 2,000 cheeses from all over the world participated, with Italy receiving 56 medals and Sardinia receiving five : four of these were won by Caseificio Garau of Mandas . A true record. "We always treat every competition we enter as if it were our first, both because our cheeses only participate in blind competitions and the judges evaluate them without knowing previous awards or the brand, and because the excitement and anticipation remain high every time. This year is the first time we've participated in the Mondial du Fromage: if all the nations of the world participate in the same competition, the gratification is exponential," say producers Marina and Mimmo Garau.

The cheeses that rose to the podium with bronze medals were: Granduca di Mandas, Piccante di Trexenta, Cardureu, and Colline di Mandas . A total of 360 judges gathered in Tours at Parc Expo to evaluate the more than 2,000 cheeses and dairy products from around the world. The city on the Loire, considered an "International City of Gastronomy," is a meeting place and a hub for exchange that has hosted dairy products from around the globe for the past seven years.
