Sergio Orrù, the farmer from Jerzu who lost control of his car and ended up in a ravine, died after a month of agony.

The accident occurred at dawn on May 10, a few hours after the Vivi Pelau demonstration, on a farm road in Pelau, downstream from Jerzu. The 49-year-old suffered seven fractured ribs.
According to reconstructions, he had lost control of his Fiat Panda, which fell down a slight slope. He was not found until around 10:00 AM.

Emergency medical personnel and an Areus helicopter arrived on the scene to transport him to Brotzu Hospital. After two days of hospitalization, complications arose, resulting in his transfer to intensive care. Today, the sad news has left the community in despair.
