Internal flights within Sardinia will soon be operational , connecting Cagliari airport to those of Olbia and Alghero : the routes will currently be active for the months of July and August , and will be operated with ATR aircraft.
AeroItalia CEO Gaetano Intrieri announced this this morning while presenting Summer 2026 at Cagliari airport.
The fares, explained Massimo Di Perna, the company's chief commercial officer, "will be uploaded to the systems shortly and are very competitive: starting at €39.99." "This is also because the Region also contributes to domestic flights, so it's designed to improve the mobility of Sardinian citizens within Sardinia's major cities," added Intrieri.
Specifically, the Cagliari-Alghero route will operate from July 3 to August 31, 2026 , with 68-seat ATR 72 aircraft. Flights will depart from Cagliari for Alghero at 11:00 a.m. and return from Alghero at 1:00 p.m. on Mondays and Fridays.
The Cagliari-Olbia flight will operate during the same period , with the same type of aircraft and on the same days: departure from Olbia at 9am (arrival in Cagliari at 10.10am), return from Cagliari at 3pm (arrival in Olbia at 4.10pm).
