A car traveling toward Cagliari lost control and crashed into the embankment on the right side of the road.
An ambulance arrived on the scene, in addition to Oristano traffic police officers and firefighters. However, the condition of one of the victims required urgent transport to the hospital.
The Areus helicopter took off from the Alghero base, but once in the area, there was no accessible landing site. The doctor lowered himself onto the main road with a winch, and the patient was transferred to Cagliari. The other patient was taken to the San Francesco hospital in Nuoro.
