The victim of the tragic road accident that occurred yesterday on the SP 33, near Nuraminis, is a 23-year-old boy living in Ortacesus .
Achraf Chamsi , a Moroccan national, lost control of the Audi A3, which swerved first to the left and then back into the lane, before ending up off the road in a ravine several metres deep.
Some motorists and guests of a nearby hotel provided first aid. Achraf Chamsi was thrown from the car following the impact, while his friend who was traveling with him, an 18-year-old also of Moroccan nationality , remained trapped inside the car and was freed by the firefighters of the Sanluri detachment. The latter was taken in red code to Brotzu, from where reassuring news arrived , his life is not in danger.
The scene of grief of the victim's parents (all part of a large and integrated community of North Africans living in Trexenta) in front of the lifeless body of their son was touching.
