An accident occurred late yesterday evening in Nuxis. Two cars, a Fiat 500 X and a Volvo, collided for unknown reasons at the entrance to the town, at the intersection of Via Grazia Deledda (an urban section of State Road 293) and Via Dante.

Following the impact, the 500 X overturned. Emergency services were immediately called, and ambulances from the Narcao volunteer rescue team, the Asvoc ambulance from Carbonia, the medical vehicle from Sirai Hospital, and the India ambulance with nurses on board from Giba arrived on the scene.

Firefighters from Carbonia also arrived on site and secured the road, while the Carabinieri were present to carry out surveys and determine the cause of the accident.

Fortunately, none of the occupants suffered serious injuries, but some were taken to Sirai Hospital in Carbonia for checkups. Nuxis Mayor Romeo Ghilleri was also on site.
