Fear struck at dawn on state highway 389, at kilometer marker 25. Around 5:30 a.m., a car driven by a 50-year-old man, resident of Talana, overturned after a pileup and ended up in the center of the road.

The Nuoro Fire Department responded to the scene, inspecting the injured man and securing the vehicle, pending its removal. State Police and Carabinieri officers were also present to carry out investigations.

The driver was rescued by 118 and transferred to Nuoro hospital for checks.
