Some people witnessed the scene. Firefighters and the Coast Guard were mobilized.A 32-year-old man from Sassari, Marcello Fini , disappeared at sea in Stintino , after falling into the water this morning while fishing from the cliff in the "Scoglietti" area.
The alarm was raised this morning by the Porto Torres Coast Guard shortly before 9:30 a.m., when two German tourists spotted a man in distress swimming near the coast, who then disappeared from their sight. The two called for help.

A patrol boat from the Porto Torres Port Authority, a fire brigade helicopter with its diving unit, and another Coast Guard helicopter, which took off from the Decimomannu base to patrol the area, arrived on the scene .
So far, given the difficult weather and sea conditions , the search has been unsuccessful. The man was identified thanks to his car, found parked not far from where he disappeared.
