A worker falls into a cistern in the Sassari area, injuring him.

A 56-year-old worker fell into a sewage treatment tank near Sassari . The accident occurred at an Abbanoa construction site on the SP 60 highway around 2:30 PM, in the Serra Longa area.

The worker, an employee of an external company, was rescued by a team of firefighters and 118 transported him with a red code to the Santissima Annunziata hospital in Sassari.

Luckily, the rainwater in the purification tank cushioned the fall from a height of 4 meters . The man fractured his leg but is not in danger of dying.

The Carabinieri and Spresal staff were also on site.

The construction site where the accident occurred is related to the construction of the sewer pipes from Sorso to Platamona.
